Concerto for Saxophone (soprano/alto) and Orchestra premiered! Jul 20th 2026

On July 17, Asya Fateyeva and the DSO Berlin, conducted by Kazuki Yamada, performed Tüür’s new Saxophone Concerto to great acclaim. The concert took place in Kiel, Germany, as part of the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival.

"The renowned Estonian composer Erkki-Sven Tüür—who was present at the concert—entrusted the premiere of his saxophone concerto, a work inspired by the charismatic wind player and 2024 SHMF portrait artist Asya Fateyeva, to her.
